Carnival of the Minds
A Creativity & Leadership Challenge
Step right up! Feeling stagnant in your role? Want to get those creative juices flowing? Perhaps it’s time for your team to engage in our creativity and leadership workshop!
This 6-hour session will provide a necessary “workout” for the brains of top nonprofit leaders and their chosen “accomplices.” Leaders and accomplices will experience research-informed mind work to ignite their right and left hemispheres to ready the brain to face organizational challenges more creatively and generatively. A major institutional challenge will be identified by participants and workshopped throughout the day, with a clear action plan presented at the session’s finale.
The cognitive exercises used in this Leadership and Creativity Challenge can be used by all participants in their own organizations for richer and more powerful problem-solving. Participants will leave with a toolkit to bring real change to their nonprofits and inspire future conversations with more flexibility and fun!

About the Instructors
Sandra Elkind, Ringleader
A creative professional for decades, Sandra Elkind has exhibited her artwork in museums and galleries across the US and in China. During her 10 years as an art professor, she excelled at sparking creativity in her students. The highlights of her lifetime steeped in creative pursuits include competing in the Disney Imagineers ImagiNations Competition, and being awarded 5 US patents for her sustainable, child resistant packaging designs.
Melanie Ulle, Lion Tamer
Melanie Ulle has spent over 24 years serving the social sector through philanthropic development, donor advising, and nonprofit management. She has helped more than 100 nonprofit clients solve their organizational, messaging, and fundraising challenges, while also partnering with dozens of funders to create philanthropic plans that match their intended impact in the world.
