Get to know PE Senior Consultant Cheri (SHUR-EE) Gonzales
Outside of work, what hobbies or interests are you passionate about?
I met my now husband when I started singing with him in a band 12 years ago and our band, a soul rock band, is still jammin’ to this day. We’ve so far avoided a Fleetwood Mac situation.
How long have you been with PE?
A year and a half. I was introduced to PE by PE consultant and friend, Sara Doerflein, or as I called her when we worked together at Swallow Hill Music, “Hot Boss Mom.”
What’s something you’ve learned recently that has had a positive impact on your work?
Every team member at Philanthropy Expert has a wealth of knowledge and I’ve learned to ask for help if there’s a skill I need to learn, a nonprofit material I need to create, or someone I’d like an introduction to. We are all here to support each other – at PE and in the sector at-large – and I continue to find that if you just ask for what you need, folks are willing to share their expertise.
