Get to know PE Consultant and Client Support Lead Brittany Schoede (Shady)
Outside of work, what hobbies or interests are you passionate about?
Two years ago I would have said, playing golf and having a beer with friends on the course. Now with an almost two year old, my interests have shifted – I love singing the ABC’s and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (we are reaaally trying to avoid Baby Shark), touching every button and light in sight, trips to the Denver Zoo and the Museum of Nature and Science, and going to bed with the sun.
How did you get involved with PE?
I was introduced to PE by PE consultant rockstars, former colleagues, and, most importantly, my friends Cheri Gonzales and Sara Doerflein. These past six months have been a delightful blend of laughter and learning, and I’m profoundly thankful for the opportunity to contribute to this incredible team.
What project or achievement are you most proud of in your role here?
The Aurora Wellness Community (AWC) is a powerful partnership between CU School Of Medicine and the vibrant Aurora community. We recently hosted the AWC Health Fair that offered multilingual support and free medical screenings (e.g. blood panels, blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, dental, dermatology), vaccines, mental health and nutritional education and resources, acupuncture, yoga, legal assistance, resources from our 40+ community partners (Xcel Energy, Colorado Health Foundation, U.S. Bank, CHFA, City of Aurora’s Office of International and Immigrant Affairs, Maria Empanada to name a few), kids activities, food trucks and more. We had over 400 community member attendees, it was a special day!
